I had earned this item as reward after extensive fund raising for the Denver Arthritis Foundation. I was very excited about making use of this power bank because of how compact, light, useful and convenient it is to travel with. It only takes 3-5 hours to completely charge the power bank via usb. I used the power bank frequently to charge phones for friends and myself.
If using this device to charge a low cell phone battery, turn off all your apps or power the phone down for a quicker charge. It functions well when charging items and when recharging it for future use. It’s a fantastic device but handle it with great care. If you are prone to dropping things this item might not be a good choice since the outer case is made from cheap plastic material that’s too fragile if dropped.
When not in use I kept the device in it’s velvet pull string bag. The other day I accidentally dropped the device on firm carpet, it hit my shoe and broke inside the bag. I was surprised how flimsy the outer casing was. The clear plastic case near the usb plug had shattered & chipped almost halfway down one side making it unsafe to handle or use.
I gave this product 3 stars instead of 5 for cheap plastic materials and because I’m unable to exchange the device at this time which is a real bummer.I would like to exchange it for another and be far more careful handling the device.
